Your Adirondack retreat awaits! Enjoy the quiet solitude of the country, complete with views of the Sentinel Mountain Range and a babbling brook that runs right by the house. You are only 20 minutes to Lake Placid, 8 minutes to Whiteface, 15 minutes to the High Peaks and 20 minutes to all Olympic venues. The farm is centrally located for hiking, rock & ice climbing, mountain biking, cross country skiing, downhill skiing, fly fishing, paddling and swimming.
The space
This old farmhouse has a open first floor that includes a large mudroom, living room and a dining area. The mudroom has plenty of space for your outdoor gear, boots and jackets. The living room has a 50" Roku TV, three couches and two chairs for you to spread out and relax. The kitchen is being remodeled in September 2023 and will be well appointed with a five burner gas stovetop, a large microwave and toaster/convection oven and a 5.2 cu ft. fridge. There is also a Water Closet (1/2 bath) and laundry room on the first floor.
There are three bedrooms and one full bathroom on the second floor. The bathroom includes a large soaking tub and shower combo. Each bedroom has one bed (1K, 1Q, 1Q) and clothing storage. You can hear the brook from the two northern bedrooms when you open the windows and the West Room has an incredible view of the Sentinel Mountains.
Guest access
There are a couple of rooms that are for our personal belongings. These rooms are locked and obvious. The separate south wing will sometimes be owner occupied. This has a separate entrance, so you will not be disturbed.
Other things to note
IMPORTANT: Unless you are a Verizon customer, there is NO CELL SERVICE at the house. We have a cell signal booster from Verizon, but other carriers will not get a signal. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house, so make sure you set your phones to Wi-Fi calling.
ALSO: You are always welcome to bring your children, but please be aware there are steep steps, unprotected electric outlets, unsecured kitchen utensils/ knives and no child cabinet latches.
