This recently remodeled 2BR/2BA condo is spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished in a tropical theme. You will enjoy spectacular views of the lower Laguna Madre bay and majestic sunsets! You will enjoy the luxury of ceramic tile floors throughout the unit, plantations shutters in every room and custom made drapery. Also, the kitchen is fully equipped and has granite countertops. The living area features a queen sofa sleeper, recliner, coffee table and lamp stand made from bamboo. You will find beautiful accent pillows on the sofa while you enjoy watching TV on a large flat screen monitor. The dining table sits four, has a glass top and its base resembled a pineapple carved from wood. Next to the sofa is a huge glazed terracotta pineapple vase with a tropical arrangement - it's really cute! Additionally, each seat is covered with an elegant custom made cover. From the living area, you can access the balcony which overlooks the pool and has an excellent bay view. Here, you can enjoy your early morning breakfast and coffee while listening to the ocean waves or simply relax here while you watch the sun set or water enthusiasts pass by. The master bed room features one king bed, dresser, TV, night stand, closet. The master bath was renovated November 2017 and features a tiled shower with fill size sliding glass doors, shampoo niche and a granite vanity countertop. The guest room features two twin beds, dresser, night stand, and closet. The guest bath, also renovated November 2017, has a granite vanity countertop and features a walk-in shower with shampoo niche.
My unit also has standard washer & dryer , located off the dining area. No need to return home with dirty laundry!
Enjoy fishing from the pier or just take in the view and sunset while you BBQ. You can watch the summer fireworks on the pier while you fish on the lighted docks. The nearest boat ramp is just two blocks north, on Polaris street. The Galleon Bay offers a bay front BBQ/picnic area, swimming pool, Jacuzzi hot tub, lighted fishing pier with cleaning station and several boat slips that are on a first come basis. This is an ideal condo for water enthusiasts.
Park your car and put your keys away! There is no need to drive while at SPI. Galleon Bay is just two blocks from the beach and public transportation is one block away. Taxi cab services are reliable and very affordable and the city bus is FREE. Many restaurants, gourmet coffee shops, cinema, shopping, ATMs, grocery & mini-marts, etc. are walking distance or you can simply take the bus and enjoy the ride. Water enthusiasts will find that the Galleon Bay is conveniently located to rental shops. Don't hesitate to rent all sorts of fun stuff like kayaks, surf boards, kites, and much more and they will deliver and pick up your gear at the Galleon Bay.
***The City of South Padre Island's Hotel Occupancy Tax rate is 10.5 percent, comprised of a 8.5 percent general occupancy tax and a 2 percent venue tax. There is also a Cameron County venue tax of 2 percent, plus county venue tax .5 percent. Both the City of SPI and Cameron County have partnered with Avenu Insight (previously MuniServices) for the collection of its Hotel Occupancy Taxes.
