Tucked away next to Titus Mountain Family Ski Center and the Salmon River, this cottage is ideal for a couple or small family. With a spacious kitchen, dining room, living room and half bath on the first floor and three bedrooms and a full bath on the second floor, this comfortable house is a great place for a break. You can walk to the Salmon River, and the main lift at Titus is right across the street. Enjoy your meals in the newly renovated sunroom and watch the sunset from the covered porch.
There are many bike rides right out the door, we have maps of several shorter ones in the House Guidebook. You can fish the Salmon River, it is stocked with trout by the State of New York every year. The Chasm Falls site is 1.5 miles up Duane Rd a short bike ride from the house. If you love to ski, the lifts at Titus Mountain are a shorter walk from the front door than you would walk from your car in a parking lot anywhere else. The Malone Fish and Game Club maintains nordic trails on the back side of Titus Mountain, memberships are $35 for a family. The Adirondack Park is just south of here, Meacham Lake is a 20 minute drive from the house.
Malone has a 36 hole golf course, several very active arts organizations, and lots of good restaurants. We can get pizza delivered to the house, even though it is quite secluded and far from town. There are additional cultural and outdoor attractions a short drive south in Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. The House Guidebook has brochures and area guides with listings of events and fun things to do.
