Welcome to Black Bear Ridge! This lovely mountain cabin offers long-range panoramic mountain views and is perched on a mountain-top setting in an exclusive gated neighborhood.
Vaulted tongue-and-groove wood-paneled walls and ceilings, wood floors, and beautiful views from every window ensure you will experience the majesty of the mountains as soon as you walk in. There is a well-equipped kitchen with all conveniences available, plenty of dining space for everyone in your group, and expansive decks where you can enjoy the cool temperatures and take in the surrounding views.
The lower-level den boasts a pool table and seating area surrounding a wood-burning fireplace and large HDTV. Time for bed? Black Bear Ridge offers the following bedrooms:
- King Master room on the main level, private bathroom with walk-in shower- sleeps 2
- Queen room on the main level, shared bathroom with combo tub and shower- sleeps 2
- 2 Queen room on the upper level, private bathroom with walk-in shower- sleeps 4
- Queen pullout sofa bed in the lower level- sleeps 2
There is parking for four (4) vehicles. The driveway at the home is easy and level, and the roads in the neighborhood leading to the home are paged.
You may not ever want to leave, but if you have many adventures planned you'll find yourself located just minutes from Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk. You'll be convenient to many of the High Country's favorite attractions such as Valle Crucis Community Park and the Original Mast General Store (3 miles), Grandfather Vineyard and Winery (7 miles), Appalachian Ski Mountain (9 miles), Tweetsie Railroad (10 miles), and Grandfather Mountain (20 miles), to name a few!

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Black Bear Lodge is located in a private community. Groups are asked to be respectful of the neighborhood. Sound travels in the mountains, so please be mindful when enjoying the outdoor areas.
- There is a countywide noise ordinance in place after 10 PM.
- The fire pit has a firm 10 pm curfew imposed by the POA.
- This home allows up to 2mature, well-trained dogs, up to 50 lbs each with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- The TVs are streaming only and include YouTube TV.
- Paved drive for 4 vehicles.
- The owner of this home uses exterior security cameras to ensure their home remains safe. There are two cameras on the underside of the entry porch, one facing the lower level parking area and the other facing towards the view. A third camera is at the entrance of the home. No cameras are pointed at doors or windows or used inside.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled within 59 days of the arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
