2 Bedroom House in Los Alamos
Totally remodeled from top to bottom, this condo is a 5 minute drive to the Lab, the public transit bus stop is at our sidewalk, and Los Alamos's best park (tennis courts, paved walking path, basketball, playground, sledding hill!) is just behind the condo. If you're looking for an immaculately clean, comfortable spot in a fantastic neighborhood, look no further.
The space
Built in 1951, this remodeled condo is true to the era's charms but with modern comforts: stainless appliances, smart TV, electrical outlet at bathroom sink (for electric toothbrushes), pillow top mattress, percale sheets, and organic cotton bath linens.
Downstairs, you'll find the living area and kitchen.
The well equipped kitchen has a brand new full-size fridge, 5-burner gas range, microwave, plus a toaster oven, coffeemaker, toaster, new dish set, and utensils and cook wear of any standard kitchen. The new pull-down faucet makes dishes easy with a deep sink, and keeping things clean with the stainless steel countertop is a breeze. The cabinets are new, wooden with soft-close drawers and are fully stocked with new flatware and there are basic cooking supplies (butter, olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar, etc.) so you can cook upon arrival! There is also a European style washer/dryer combo under a butcher block countertop, laundry detergent and fabric softener provided.
The living area has a standard size couch, flat screen smart tv with Chromecast for your streaming pleasure. A farm-style kitchen table that seats three overlooks the small, totally fenced-in grassy backyard. There is an automatic sprinkler system to water the perimeter flowers and lawn and a small corner deck with a propane gas Weber grill.
Upstairs are two bedrooms with hardwood floors and the remodeled bathroom.
The bathroom has new tile floor and walls, a full tub with Epsom salt (for you bath-lovers), great water pressure with a new, multifunction shower head (which is high for those tall people), an endless supply of hot water, and high-quality textured, organic bath linens.
The larger bedroom has a high-end queen size bed with a mattress topper. Sheets are hotel quality, crisp, white percale cotton. There are four pillows to choose from; down, foam, micro, etc. Both bedrooms have a lighted ceiling fan, double bedside lamps with USB plugs. In the summer, there is a new refrigerated air unit to keep you cool.
The second bedroom is currently set up as an office with a desk and chair but can be easily swapped for a full-size bed and linens.
Extra bed linens, pillows and blankets are available in the linen closet.
