A classic Adirondack camp situated on 37 acres, with a half-mile of lakeshore on beautiful Lake Abanakee. A fun vacation destination for adults or family, with fishing, hiking, paddling, biking, and swimming available right outside your cabin’s door. Our central Adirondack Mountain location makes easy day trips possible to the Olympic venues of Lake Placid, Gore Mountain, or the 46 High Peaks. The lodge retains the cozy, rustic ambiance of the Adirondack style. Cabin 2 is a cozy space featuring a screened-in porch for visiting with family, enjoying the view of the lake or getting some work done from the woods. This cabin has a full kitchen with gas stove and full size refrigerator. There's also a pull-out couch on the porch. You have direct access to the lake from your cabin. There's a small dock you can use to access the lake. There's also a beach located on the north end of the property where you can put a row boat or kayak into the water. We provide one row boat per cabin. The boats and oars are stored at the beach. You can reach me via Airbnb app or via phone. Sometimes my brother-in-law or the property manager is available should you need immediate assistance. We provide contact numbers once you arrive. Lake Abanakee is located northeast of Indian Lake, New York. Fish species that are present in the lake are northern pike, white sucker, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, black bullhead, yellow perch, rock bass, and sunfish. The town of Indian Lake has a few restaurants, a gas station (Stewart's), a hardware store, and a laundromat. Cabin 2 is located at Locke Harbor Cabins. *PLEASE NOTE* We do not provide linens (sheets, pillow cases, blankets, bath towels, bath mats, etc.). However, we do provide pillows. Staying at the cabins at LockeHarbor is more of a rustic cabin-in-the-woods-on-the-lake experience than it is a high-end resort. Our guests love this aspect of their stay and we hope that you do, too! We provide one row boat per cabin to use on the lake. There's an outdoor fire pit and charcoal grill for your use. Please bring firewood, charcoal, or lighter fluid to enjoy fire pit and grill.
