About Casa Lirio
Tucked away in a pleasant neighborhood, awaits tranquil Casa Lirio. In spring and early summer, the happy Lirio (Irises), for which the house is named, gently sway in the front yard, welcoming you to your peaceful Santa Fe haven.
If relaxation and restoration is on your wish list during your visit to Santa Fe, Casa Lirio will not disappoint. The interior is dominated by a light, neutral color palette that creates a foundation of calm, soothes the eyes, and give the nervous system a well-deserved break.
In the fully enclosed backyard, you will be pleasantly surprised to find a natural mini-oasis complete with shady portal, fountain pond and real grass! (Extremely rare for Santa Fe.) It’s a splendid place to enjoy a coffee, margarita, or even an evening meal or BBQ with a table full of friends. If you’re traveling with your pet, they will appreciate a house like Casa Lirio that gives them the outdoor freedom of a fenced yard.
Casa Lirio has three bedrooms + separate fan-cooled studio/office. It will comfortably sleep 5 people and is located about 12 minutes from downtown Santa Fe. Casa Lirio is close to the Chavez Community Center, which boasts an Olympic size pool, ice rink, workout facilities and classes. Several restaurants can be found nearby, including one of Santa Fe’s favorites, Joe’s Dining (organic ingredients).
Like many Santa Fe homes, you will pass through a wooden gate into a small courtyard before arriving at the front door of Casa Lirio.
As you enter the home, you will become immersed in the light-filled great room. The large corner windows overlook the yard and bring a sense of easy connection to the outdoors. The living room has a beautiful wood burning fireplace, a large sofa that invites your bones to rest, and a big screen SmartTV for your enjoyment.
Thanks to the open floor plan, there is easy access to the kitchen and dining room. From the kitchen you can look out to the living and dining rooms as well as have a view of the landscaped yard. All the amenities you need for cooking and dining are provided. The dining room will seat six people comfortably and is nestled near windows overlooking the backyard.
The master suite has a king bed and a huge master closet. (Headboard and new linens yet to come.) The master bath has a separate shower (no tub) and double sinks.
At the other end of the house are two more bedrooms. One has a queen bed, the other a double futon. These two rooms share the main hall bath which offers has a tub for soaking.
As an added attraction, there is a completely independent building in the back yard that can be utilized as a private office, art studio, or meditation/yoga space. It is cooled with fans.
Amenities included are a double garage, more off-street parking, fully equipped kitchen, evaporative cooling, washer and dryer, all linens, fully equipped kitchen, High Speed WIFI, SmartTV and outdoor barbecue. We are dog-friendly and have a completely enclosed courtyard.
