Less than 2 hrs drive from NYC, this private log cabin is nestled in its own little nature oasis. You’ll get a sense of being in the middle of the woods while also being in close proximity to the bustling towns of Woodstock, Kingston, and Village of Saugerties. The location is convenient for participants in the HITS events with 2 spacious driveways that can accommodate large vehicles.
This rustic log cabin features a warm wooden interior and mid century modern decor; it has been recently renovated to add modern touches. The front door opens to the kitchen and dining area, fully stocked with the basic necessities to accommodate home cooks.
Enjoy the cozy sitting area around the wood stove or climb the stairs to the lofted living room where you can find a cabinet full of board games. Plus, with its high-speed internet, you can stay connected to work or stream movies for a night in.
The porch in the back overlooks the half acre backyard of mature trees and is set up with a dining table and hammock chairs, a charcoal grill and grilling utensils are available for guests to use.
*Please note: while we have put much thought into providing a peaceful ambiance, there is a slow moving freight train that passes behind the backyard during the day and night. Some days/nights you’ll rarely hear the train rumble by, while others you’ll notice it more frequently - there really is no set schedule or pattern. While myself and pretty much all of my guests have never been bothered by it, it's still something to be aware of before booking. There are white noise machines in each room if needed.
