Stunning views and wildlife abound at this unique and tranquil getaway in the hills of western MA. Escape the hustle and bustle of every day in a renovated, turn-of-the-century farmhouse. As you wind up the maple tree-lined driveway, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time. The pace of life slows and you'll start to relax; surrounded by meadows, forests and big, open sky. Rest assured you will have all the modern amenities, including a beautifully appointed kitchen, wi-fi and more.
You can spend your days walking through the farm's wooded trails or curling up on the porch with a good book. You can also request a tour of a working maple farm just a half-mile from Cloud 9. If you want to get out and about, the town of Worthington is a ten minute drive - there, you will find The Links, a ten hole golf course, a small country store, two restaurants and even our own brewery. In 20 minutes you can be fishing and paddling on Littleville Lake or hiking to beautiful waterfalls or across historic train trestles. You are also less than hour from The Berkshires, Tanglewood, Northampton and many more interesting locations.
In the evenings, there always seems to be something going on in one of our local establishments, from trivia contests to game night to live music. Of course, if you want to experience some of the best night skies in New England, you can decide to stay in, cook a delicious dinner and star-gaze out your front door.
The house sits atop a hill surrounded by 25 acres of pasture and spectacular views of distant forests. Our home has two floors. On the first floor is a large eat-in kitchen; living room with formal dining area; screened/glassed-in wrap-around porch (perfect for watching the sunrise); 3/4 bath and an office. On the second floor, you will find a master suite with a canopied queen-size bed and ensuite bathroom. The guest room has two twin bed and access to a full size bathroom.
Your host lives on the property in a guest house behind the main house. She is a farmer and has a small dog. Your house has a completely separate entrance and dedicated parking spot, so your privacy is always maintained.
A couple of things to keep in mind: Our country store sells snack food, beer, spirits, and a few necessities. However, we do not have a grocery store or gas station in town, so come with groceries and enough gas in your tank to travel at least 20 miles.
