White Oak Pond is a beautiful 290 acre quiet lake nestled in the picturesque village of Holderness, New Hampshire. The pond has limited development with only 30 properties around the 3-mile shoreline. There is a 7.5 HP motor limit on the lake, which makes it ideal for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, paddle-boarding or just plain gazing at the ever-changing lake, listening for the call of the loons or watching a sunset.
The cottage is located two miles east of Holderness Village and 7 miles from Exit 24 (Ashland) off I-93.
This cozy cottage with two bedrooms in the main cottage and an additional bedroom in the attached studio is just right for a relaxing family vacation. It sleeps 6 with its two double beds and a set of bunk beds. the bunk beds are NOT suitable for adults. There is a bath with tub in the main cottage plus a powder room and separate shower in the studio. The kitchen is equipped with stove and refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, and cooking equipment. There is internet service in the cottage. There is a screened porch as well as a patio, picnic table and grill. This is a self-catering cottage so guests supply their own linens (though linen arrangements may be made) and are expected to leave the cottage clean and ready for the next guests. Pets will be considered on an individual basis.
The cottage is 250 feet from White Oak pond where there is a private beach for your personal use. The water is shallow near the beach, making it great for small children. There are a dock and a raft which are shared with the owners when they are in residence. Two canoes are available for your use and kayaks can usually be borrowed from the owners. There is a marina with a launch nearby on Squam Lake and boats may be rented there.
There are many nearby attractions from the Squam Lakes Science Center to the White Mountains and shopping in nearby Meredith. Clark's Trading Post, Ruggles Mine and Polar Caves are a few attractions which are a short drive away.
