The cottage abuts the DAR State Forest, which has 15 miles of hiking trails (for all levels), birdwatching, and XC skiing. A short 25-minute drive to Northampton, known as an academic, artistic, musical, and countercultural hub and home to Smith College. A 30-minute drive to Berkshire East Ski Resort and Stumps XC Skiing Center and a 50-minute drive to Bousquet and Jiminy Peak Ski Resorts.
