Wherever you look, you see either the snowy Sangre de Cristos, the twinkling lights of Santa Fe, the rolling foothills leading down to the Rio Grande Valley, or all of the above! And you don't have to be outdoors to do it: this home is full of enormous, floor-to-ceiling plate-glass windows that can make you feel as though you're hovering over the canyon. You will never, ever tire of the views from Dorthia Garden!
From the moment you pull up on the sweeping drive and see the fountain, you will know you're in for something very special at Dorthia Garden. Ornately carved double doors lead you into a huge common area, bathed in sunlight and furnished with a wealth of ultra-comfortable sofas and chairs. Flop down on the sectional or stretch out in the leather armchair, kick off your shoes, and revel in the knowledge that you need do absolutely nothing except enjoy your vacation in paradise!
One of the best features of Dorthia Garden is its spaciousness. Viga ceilings, a huge fireplace, handsome pillars, and a low dividing wall help to define the common area, but nothing is crowded, from the wide hallway to perfectly-placed furnishings. Your big group can really spread out here without bumping elbows, which contributes to the sense of calm and quiet you will experience even when the kids' computer games are beeping and the grown-ups are cheering over the big game on one of the many HDTVs.
Tear yourself away from this scene of comfort to admire the well-stocked kitchen and dining areas (there are at least 2!) in this house. The kitchen is curved, filled with light, and boasting the latest stainless-steel appliances (including 2 fridges and a second sink in the central island). All you add is groceries; everything else, from cookware and dishes to chef's knives, gadgets, and countertop appliances, is ready for you here.
