Welcome to our clean, pet friendly and fully furnished apartment located 1.5 miles from the center of Round Pond Village in Bristol, Maine. As owners we live on the property but this apartment has its own private entrance. Downstairs has a full kitchen, bathroom with shower, living room and dining room. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with two single beds and a master bedroom with a queen size bed. There is also an open space between the bedrooms that has a full size futon. Fans in each room to keep you cool. No need to bring anything except your clothing and food. We have stocked the apartment with just about everything for the perfect Maine vacation. There is a gas grill for barbecuing and beach chairs for a day at any of our lovely beaches. Yes there is wifi!
This space has a bit of history as it was an actual jewelry workshop for 20 years where co-owner Ronna Lugosch created and sold her jewelry nationwide. We are only 1.5 miles from Round Pond Harbor which is a popular destination in the MidCoast because of its picturesque beauty, fresh lobsters and other seafood available in the 2 outdoor lobster pounds. Also in the Village you can step back in time when you visit the historic Granite Hall store complete with penny candy and memorabilia of Maine. A 5 minute walk over the hill from the apartment, is the Muscongus Cove, where you can get a stunning view of Maine's saltwater coast and islands. You can rent kayaks from Midcoast Kayak in Damariscotta and access them right there in the marina in Muscongus Cove. Bristol is located on the Pemaquid Peninsula known for its rocky coastline, Saltwater beach (9.7 mi) and Pemaquid Lighthouse (11.4 mi). If you enjoy tennis and/or pickleball there is a free public court down the road just before Round Pond's village center. There are also several scenic hiking trails nearby. An 8 minute drive will bring you to either of 2 freshwater swimming areas. The closest town is Damariscotta (7 miles) with food shopping, galleries, restaurants, etc. You'll drive through Damariscotta on your way to our rental. Also on this property the owner has a bicycle repair business so if you plan to bring your bicycles and run into some challenges, Bicycle Repairman will be at your service! Hope you will join us!
