Phort Phil is a cozy cabin and bunkhouse located on Horseshoe Lake near both Brainerd and and Crosslake, MN.
During the summer, this is a perfect lake for fishing, waterskiing, wake boarding, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and all water based activities. There is plenty of room at the private dock to tie up your speed boat or pontoon. Children will enjoy building playing on the sand beach and building sand castles. When you're ready for a change of pace, take a ride on the new bikes (4 with helmets) or challenge your family to a game of Ping-Pong!
There are several family-friendly activities in the area. Enjoy a bike ride on the Paul Bunyan Trail or stroll through one of the nearby woodland or wetland preserves. Play a round of golf; both mini golf and championship courses are nearby. Retail shops and local restaurants are in town, just 10 minutes away.
This is also a great location for a winter get away - the lake is perfect for ice fishing, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. It’s also a fantastic area to access the endless miles of groomed snowmobile trails.
This family lake property sleeps 12 people in all - the main cabin sleeps 3 and the newly built bunkhouse (2016) sleeps 9 with 2 full baths located in the main cabin. Both the main cabin and bunkhouse have heat and A/C. The main cabin has a 5 star sound system.
The cabin is fully furnished. The kitchen includes cooking and dining ware, four-burner stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, microwave, toaster, and pizza oven. A natural gas grill is on the deck with a commercial grade picnic table.
