Blue Gill Lake is a small no wake lake 15 minutes south of Gaylord. The lake has beautiful blue water and offers a quiet setting. The lake has a nice sandy bottom and is a great place to fish from the 25' aluminum dock or from either of the two kayaks that are available to our guests.
No racing jet skis or speed boats here! Just the beauty of the natural surroundings. Blue Gill Lake has only 16 lakefront homes located on the south side. The remaining three sides of the lake are owned by the State of Michigan, offering beautiful views of towering pine and maple trees.
Our home is perfect for families. The water is shallow at the shore and gradually deepens after the end of the dock. Swim, relax, kayak, barbecue, play yard games, or enjoy day trips to virtually all northern Michigan destinations.
Just want to hang out at and look at the water and unwind? Our home has an upper covered deck facing the lake as well as a covered patio. The home has enhanced cable TV so that you can entertain yourself if you just want to be lazy, as well as WiFi and a Smart TV for you to connect to your streaming services.
Are you a winter sports enthusiast? If so, the major ski/snowboard areas in the Gaylord area are very close by. Short drives allow you to access other ski areas in northern Michigan as well!
Are you a golfer? Nothing else needs to be said. This area has some of the finest golf courses in northern Michigan.
Come enjoy our beautifully kept, 3 bedroom / 2 bath lakefront home. The house has a field stone fireplace (gas), a vaulted ceiling in the living room & dining room, along with half log interior paneling in the common areas for that "Up North" feel.
Guess what? Bonus! The home has an upper deck that wraps around the house and a lower patio with a porch swing and a picnic table. The upper deck offers terrific sunset views and includes a patio table. Another bonus! The upper deck is covered for inclement weather days. You can still enjoy being lakeside even if it's raining!
