Summary: My 18 year old daughter suddenly became available for a last minute family trip so I scrambled to find someplace that would accommodate myself, 13-year old son, my daughter and her boyfriend as well. I was lucky enough to find Harper’s Hangout! It was only 2-1/2 hour drive for us, offered enough privacy for everyone, AND we could bring our dog!When we arrived, it was super clean, the A/C was at a perfect temp, and it was as welcoming as can be! It is decorated very tastefully. I came prepared with paper products; however, none were needed as the home is extremely well stocked with what is needed for your stay.The extra 1/2 bath is a big bonus for a family stay, as is the washer/dryer and access to beach towels.While there aren’t a tremendous amount of shops in town, we definitely found enough to do in our 5-day stay. The beach was gorgeous, people were friendly everywhere we went, and we even found a dog park! We went horseback riding, played mini-golf, shopped, explored Port Austin, hiked, and ate alot of ice cream! The supermarket and Dollar General are both 5 minutes from the home and have pretty much everything you would need for cooking or any items you may have forgotten. I would definitely recommend Harper’s Hangout and would go back in the future!
