Summary: The Cottage by the Lake is charming. It's location on Lake Champlain provides a beautiful view of the lake and awesome sunsets. The camp is completely renovated. The kitchen is completely stocked with pots, pans, dishware, utensils and serving dishes. It even has a dishwasher! There isn't a dining table, but the breakfast bar seats 6 comfortably. The screened porch is delightful for morning coffee. The two bedrooms are small, but furnished with comfortable Casper mattresses and TVs. There's plenty of room for four people. Any more than four people will need to sleep on the pullout couch. There is central air and heat, and an electric fireplace. The bathroom is big enough and has plenty of shower pressure. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash is provided, along with TP, paper towels, dishwashing detergent, and dishwashing liquid. The washer and dryer is a nice convenience. There are plenty of towels for bathing and the beach. The tap water is treated and tastes salty, but a bottled water dispenser is available as an alternative. There's a fire pit and kayaks for use. The host was kind enough to provide fixings for s'mores. The host is very responsive to questions and extremely conscientious. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would rent this cottage again sometime.
