A stunning scene of Moosehead Lake awaits at this charming, lakefront home in Rockwood, gorgeously situated with views of Mt. Kineo from sunrise to sunset. This is Maine living at its most classic and comfortable, from the window-lined sun porch overlooking the lake to the firepit at the water's edge.
This two-story home sits in the outskirts of small-town Rockwood on the western shore of Moosehead Lake. The waterfront area of the property - including the firepit - is shared with a separate, private studio over the garage (which can be rented as well). You'll be less than five miles from the Kineo Shuttle in town, and a scenic trip across the water from Mt. Kineo State Park and the famous Mt. Kineo Golf Course.
Begin each summer morning with a sunrise view of the lake and a mug of coffee enjoyed in a rocking chair on the sun porch. The rest of the day is for swimming and fishing, using the gas grill to barbecue on the front porch, and telling stories around the lakefront firepit as your kids play tag on the lawn.
Natural wood adorns almost every interior surface, giving the house a wonderful feeling of warmth. Yet you'll also be treated to a host of modern comforts, including high-speed WiFi, smart TVs in the living room and primary bedroom, and an elegant, open kitchen (with stainless steel appliances) overlooking the lake. There's even a desk workspace in the primary bedroom, a guest room and an attic room that are ideal for kids, and a washer/dryer for your laundry needs.

The separate studio on the grounds, Kineo Studio, is available to rent as well. The lakefront space is shared with the Kineo Studio.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
