Great location, close to Okemo main base and slopes. We are about 150 yards from the slopes... no need for a shuttle!! It is the best of both worlds- a private enclave but close to the action.
Parking for 3-4 cars on site.
The townhome is recently renovated with a new kitchen and bathrooms. There are 3 floors for privacy. Fully stocked kitchen for cooking and baking. Dining room table easily seats 8 with additional bartop seats for 3 more.
The masterpiece is the expansive living room with a stone fireplace and chess table. There is plenty of seating for relaxing around the fire with large open windows giving spectacular views of the Vermont countryside. One of the great joys (for non-skiers) is sitting in the living room and basking in the warm glow of the afternoon sun- perfect for a nap or curling up with a good book. The living room is also equipped with a home theater sound system for enjoying a family movie together. Downstairs has a large TV and cozy couch, and is a great spot for the kids with its own game table (pool, ping pong, and air hockey). There is also a separate entrance and a full bathroom downstairs, making it ideal for multiple families. This is not a rental that crams people into tight spaces and small bedrooms... this is a rental with plenty of space and large bedrooms, as well as large common areas. This unit is the same size as other units that are listed to rent for 15+ people. We feel you should have space to relax apre's-ski.
Enjoy a day on the slopes, ski home for a relaxing lunch, get right back to skiing for the afternoon, and ski home to relax by the fire with a game of checkers or chess to end the day.
Ski trail access is easy- for beginners, a short walk on the road to the Sachem lift (located just at the top of the bunny hill). For more advanced skiers, a trail through the woods allows you to ski back home (dependent on natural snowfall). Either way, you can avoid the large crowds at the main parking lot, and you don't have to wait for a shuttle to take you to/from the slopes. You can walk to the main base lodge at Okemo as well.
Enjoy sunsets on the deck and a hot tub under the stars. The peace and quiet of our little street is delightful, and unusual for being so close to the mountain. You really will feel like you have your own space (especially when looking up at the stars from our hot tub/ deck at night) but still have quick and easy access to the mountain.
If you are coming off season, you can bike (or hike) to the mountain just as easily.
This is a perfect location for a quiet getaway for large or multiple families.
