The location is ideal for families as the house is up on the hill with only a 3 minute walk to the clubhouse. When you walk up to the house enjoy the deep covered porch providing some shade in the summer while you sit in the Adirondack chairs listening to the babbling brook nearby. Then enter the house through the sunroom/ mudroom great for catching all your gear in the winter or just sitting with a cup of coffee in the sitting chairs soaking up the sun on a cool day with snow just outside the window or on a cool summers evening looking up at the stars.
You will find plenty of room for 10 people to sleep comfortably. On the first floor is the master bedroom with a king size bed and full bathroom. The kitchen has all the provisions you will need to cook and enjoy a meal with your family and friends. The kitchen flows to the dining area separated by a bar with seating for four and a dining room table that can open up to seat 8-10 people, if needed. The dining area is open to the living room with two sofas facing the beautiful fireplace (firewood provided) and a 55” smart TV equipped with cable television, Netflix, Wii and a DVD player. There is also a nice selection of DVDs for your enjoyment. The house is equipped with WiFi as well.
On the second floor there are two bedrooms (one with twin beds and one with a queen bed) as well as a loft sitting area with a quality pull out queen sofa and a full bathroom.
The finished walkout basement has 2 sets of bunk beds, 2 sofas, a 40” smart TV with cable television, Netflix and a DVD player, a half bathroom, washer/ dryer and a full size air hockey table. You can’t ask for a better hangout place for the kids or adults.
Enjoy the private backyard of the house with a beautiful large deck, grille, patio table/ umbrella with plenty of seating, and a fire pit surrounded by more Adirondack chairs for your enjoyment.
When staying at the house our guests have full access to all of the amenities that Chimney Hill has to offer. The clubhouse has indoor/ outdoor pools, hot tub, fitness room, lounge facilities, arcade/ game room, movie screening room, basketball court, tennis courts, playground, and hosts activities for adults and children. (Please check the Chimney Hill Clubhouse website for hours as they do change throughout the year.) Other resort amenities include a stocked fishing pond, ice skating rink with ice skates to borrow (winter), snowmobile trail (right behind the house) which leads to the VAST snowmobile trail system.
In addition the house is located 15 minutes from Mount Snow, 10 minutes from Harriman Reservoir, 15 minutes from Lake Raponda (both of which have beaches), and 10 minutes from downtown Wilmington to enjoy restaurants and shopping. There is so much to do when you visit at any time of the year. You can enjoy mountain biking, kayaking, swimming, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating, fishing, excellent restaurants and so much more in the picturesque Town of Wilmington.
