RELAX while you turn back time and enjoy chasing the sunsets on the beautiful Chesapeake Bay, located in Fishing Creek Maryland, also known as a string of islands called Hoopers Island. Enjoy the #BUNGALOWWINGS on our beautiful Big Blue Barn Photo opps with #MDCRAB TOO! The possibilities are endless in our vacation Bungalow, the house is ready for a fun peaceful couples’ getaway, a cool place for a team retreat, wedding party, hunting lodge for the week, scrap booking and wine with the gals or family reunion! This home is Pet Friendly 🐶 🐩 🐕 !!!!!!
With so much space at your disposal, this property is ideal for large groups of friends, family retreats, and relaxing getaways. Spend endless spring/summer or fall days outside, enjoying the huge backyard. Toss the frisbee, play touch football, or become an avid bird watcher and search for the swans, ducks, geese, osprey, blue heron, egret and eagles that often visit the property! Head back to the house for lunch in the backyard on picnic tables. At night use the grill to roast veggies and steak 🥩 for dinner.
Our Bungalow built in the 1950’s has been lovingly restored to make new memories. The Bungalow has 1,650sf and 3.8 acres of low land marsh with an emerald green field. A quick 2-minute walk down the driveway to magnificent waterfront SUNSET VIEWS! This property was family owned and built by The Island's famous boat Captain Jack and Ms. P. Captain Jack was a proud boat builder. His unique boats with his signature hauls have been sold far and wide until 2012 when he passed away, we named our Bungalow’s bar after him! We updated the family’s home and kept the legacy in the Bungalow. Captain Jacks Bar has been made from his restored workbenches, check out the game room coffee table from the back of an original boat and chairs! You will find loving touches throughout the home to make for memorable vacations. All the wood work in the Bungalow was installed, by Billy, my husband. The wood is from Hooper’s Island pine that was cut, dried and milled from our island property.
Private back yard with fire pit seating for 10 and two picnic tables to pick crabs fresh caught that day. Hoopers has numerous crab factories where the local waterman bring their catch, just ask and we will point you in the right direction (in season) or oysters we know who to call!
The options are endless! The bungalow is the perfect place to read a book, enjoy family time in the game room keeping score with air hockey for the next renters to beat! My favorite is to take one of the beach cruisers for a spin! Turn right onto Hoppers Island RD BEST CRABCAKE you will find is at Old Salty's the award winning restaurant and bar is a short walk or bike ride. Old Salty’s has been featured in Coastal living Magazine, make sure you tell Mike & Melinda, the proprietors of Old Salty’s, Kelly and Billy sent you, simple delicious homemade eastern shore cooking known for their fresh picked lump crab, bucket list prime rib reservation only for that treat and home made coconut, lemon and chocolate pies. Turn left and head to Hoopers Island General store it has all the necessities and more, grab homemade breakfast, lunch, snacks, hand dipped ice cream, cakes, pies and spirits our favorite is the crabby eggs and loaded crab hand cut fries. Hunt from a john boat or go charter fishing we have it all covered by the local families. Fishing and crabbing with Maryland Fishing license is permitted from the island causeway and local pier, Tyler’s Cover you get to use boat slip number LUCKY 🍀 13 FOR FREE during your stay!! Drop your personal boat in the water at one of the two FREE LOCAL BOAT RAMPS. Nature's artwork is at your fingertips, egrets, osprey, blue herons and bald eagles are all around. Sea glass collecting along the causeway is worth the trip alone! Bring your kayak or Stand up Paddle Board, (SUP) a great location with open waters and minimal boat traffic. Our wish for you is to make memories that last a lifetime! We have fiber optic high speed internet, use this as your home office or log off and disconnect it's up to you! Make sure you enjoy the fun, take plenty of pictures with Bernie and the surfer room! Our Island was awarded best kept secret of the Chesapeake Bay and best Small town in Maryland WE HAVE THE STICKER TO PROVE IT LOL. You will not find a stop light for 26 miles, but you will get a smile and a wave from everyone on this 4 mile by 1 mile Island!
