4 Bedroom Cabin in Stone Lake
For over 50 years this has been a well-loved little A-frame cabin for the family. It's set upon a hill with easterly exposure, a lakeside gazebo & a view up the length of this great lake. A wall of windows on the A-frame for abundant natural lighting throughout main living portion.
***This A frame cabin is in a dense forest. There will be spiders, and spider webs in and around the cabin. Please be aware of this. We clean the spiderwebs any time that we see them, but they will return. We are directly over a lake and don't want to use insecticides on the property as it is harmful to aquatic life***
The space
Our cabin is best suited for a large family, or two smaller families. Bedrooms 3 and 4 are a split upstairs loft. It has 1 bunk bed and one twin per side with a privacy divider to Bedroom 4.
There is a fireplace that can be used by the guest, but utmost care and safe fire practices must be used. Please only burn wood that is brought in from an approved DNR vendor. Please make 100% sure that the fire is put out by the time you leave.
There is a dock at the bottom of the hill, and gives you direct access to Lac Courte Oreilles.
There is also a public boat launch (about 10 minutes away) that can be used to launch boat rentals or personal owned watercrafts, it can be docked at our dock for no extra charge. Please note that boats brought by guests should be under 16ft as it is quite difficult to move a boat around in our small driveway. There is a very fun sand bar in the middle of the lake that we love to go to in the summer.
Guest access
Guests are allowed in all areas of the Cabin. The crawl space is locked for safety, and the garage is not to be used by guests except for passage into and/or out of the cabin, as we store some personal belongings in there.
Other things to note
There are spiders, and spider webs. This Cabin is in a deeply wooded area. Please take note of this.
We have electric heaters in both the master bedroom, main floor bedroom, and the bathroom.
A fire will need to be maintained in the fireplace to heat the main living space and loft.
Extra blankets/quilts are in the storage ottoman in the main cabin area.
This is a part time vacation rental, there are some spices and random items in the cupboards above the microwave, feel free to use them too!
There are two security cameras on site. One on the garage and one on the gazebo. They are both facing the driveway. Cameras are installed primarily as a theft deterrent and to avoid police dispatch for false alarms. Security cameras are not monitored and should not be relied on for personal safety. No cameras are placed inside, or with any view of the interior of the property. Security cameras may be used to verify compliance with rental policies.
