Here you can walk along the paved paths of the Potomac, visit Mount Vernon, Old Town Alexandria and of course you are just a few miles from DC. An enjoyable family retreat with all the amenities needed for a wonderful vacation. I would love to welcome you to my home.
My home is just off the George Washington Parkway with access to miles of walking/biking trails along the Potomac River in between Old Town Alexandria and Mount Vernon. The house itself is on old MT Vernon land and Is 1/3 acre with a lovely back yard equipped with a tree house for little ones, a fire pit, porch and grill.
As you enter the home you will see the living room, a slice of the dining room and the entry into the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped for your travel needs. It has of course a refrigerator, two ovens (convection), Bosch dishwasher and a gas stove.
The formal dining room as currently configured can seat 6 comfortably and there are multiple additional tables that would expand the seating capacity if desired. The living room has a 55-inch TV, a wood burning fireplace, and a piano. The house has wireless internet for both streaming TV, internet and phone.
From the main level if you go up the stairs you enter the main bedroom area. This consists of the master bedroom with a full bath with shower. The main bathroom for guests is at the top of the landing and is a full bathroom with a jetted spa tub which accommodates two adults. Next to the bathroom you will find bedrooms 2 and 3. Each have a queen sized bed, closet and furniture to house your belongings during your stay.
From the main level if you go down one floor you will be in the den which includes another streaming television, and access to the 4th bedroom which contains a twin trundle bed. The Den also leads to the sunroom where there is a desk, a wireless printer and scanner available for you to connect to if you must bring work with you! The den has a door to the backyard as well.
If you fell like exercising go down another level to the lower floor to find a gym complete with a Smith Cage Machine, Bowflex weights, kettle ball, kick-boxing or boxing bag, stretch bands etc.. with all of this you might ask is there more- well yes. I have two bikes, a kayak, and a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sport that can be rented. I can advise on premier locations to bike and or kayak as well as rental facilities nearby should you need additional watercraft.
On this level is also the laundry room with a washer dryer, iron and board, cloth steamer as well as drying lines.
