Welcome to Haven on Earth, our small cabin located in South Haven, MN, nestled on a wooded bluff on the shoreline of Lake Marie, only 50 miles away from Minneapolis. Lake Marie is also connected to Lake Louisa, which combine for 350 acres of lake to explore.
Enjoy summer here! Our cabin has multiple outdoor sitting areas with fire pits, as well as a screened in-porch, overlooking a gorgeous view of Lake Marie. Fish, boat, kayak, swim, hang out around the fire, and enjoy the view! We have a nice setting in the trees and a nice bay section of Lake Marie.
Our chain of lakes is fully recreational. Bring your pontoon or boat or jetskis! Or just make it simple and enjoy our kayaks.
Great hiking trails nearby, wineries, golf courses, etc.
(In the winter) Ice fishing is great, with a prime location being our bay right in front of our cabin. Powder Ridge is 15 minutes away and offers great skiing/snowboarding and tubing. There are great state snowmobile trails nearby as well. Sit back and relax or get out on the lake and have fun here!
This lake is great for fishing both in the summer and winter. A lot of crappies, as well as bass and walleye are caught here. Check out some of the last pics showing some of this fish caught on these two lakes.
It is only 10 minutes west of Annandale, which has several restaurants, stores, a brewery, trails, etc as well as being about 25 minutes south of St. Cloud.
THE SPACE:
Outside, there's multiple sitting areas, two firepits, a grill, a tire swing (!), two kayaks, and a dock (seasonal) .
Inside, there's a full kitchen, dining table for 4, living room with a smart TV, and two futons. Fast wifi. Bedroom 1 has a bunk bed and a futon, and Bedroom 2 has a full bed, and in the living room there's another futon, as well as a half futon, so it can sleep 6 comfortably or up to 8 if you all like each other and don't mind squishing.
Downstairs, there's a full bathroom, a bar, poker and fooseball tables, bluetooth speaker and record player, and a screened-in porch overlooking the lake.
*CAUTION*
There are a lot of stairs, as showcased in the last picture.
During the winter, driveway can be hard to get up when icy. 4wd or good snow tires recommended.
