PLEASE READ AND CAREFULLY REVIEW LISTING BEFORE BOOKING. This is a small rustic cabin built in the 60s and renovated and updated since. There is a local caretaker who will take care of any problems or issues you may have during your stay upon request. However there is no butler or maid service. The cabin offers comfort, privacy and tranquility while being in close proximity to stratton village bars, restaurants and shops. Due to the wear and tear on my house, I will only allow dogs on an individual basis. Only dogs under 20 pounds will be allowed and are not allowed on the furniture, which has all been recently replaced. New couch includes center entertainment console. You will be held responsible for any and all damage to the house, furnishings and linens. A refundable $500 deposit will be added and an non-refundable cleaning fee of an extra $50 will be added (in addition to the regular fees) if you should bring a pet. If you do without discussing it, an automatic fee of $200 will be added for the additional cleaning. NOTE: VRBO counts anything less than five stars as a negative review. If you have a history of bad reviews I will not accept your reservation. If there are any problems upon your arrival please contact me and I will do my best to have all issues timely resolved.
Great year round! Escape from the heat of summer in your own secluded mountain cottage. Relax in the private Jacuzzi or in the cozy living room in front of a rustic fireplace. Small cottage recently renovated to provide the perfect mountain retreat. Just two miles from the Sun Bowl ski area at Stratton Mountain and minutes to Stratton Village. Stay in your own cottage away from the crowds. House is located in a private wooded area with ponds and streams. Short walk to Pike Falls, a natural swimming pool perfect for hot summer days.
House has one large bedroom with a twin and full bed. Second room has a king sized bed with flat screen TV, washer and dryer and a Mac computer with printer.
Cozy living room provides a great place to relax and watch movies or cable on large flat screen TV hooked up to roku of streaming including Sling, Netflix, Amazon prime and hbo. Please realize that this is rural vermont and WiFi is through DHL and can be spotty. I make no guarantees as to the speed and use ability of the internet or cell service; however internet has recently been upgraded so hopefully Wi-Fi will be more consistent
Small kitchen has everything you need including a dishwasher, full refrigerator, stove and wine cooler.
Outside relax in your own private Jacuzzi and enjoy the quiet scenic mountain views. With a running stream across the street.
There is a motion sensor with a camera outside the house. It just shows the driveway and not the porch or hot tub. It is for when the house is empty, and I like it when I’m there alone. However, you can turn it off by the furthest left light switch inside the door. Please remember to turn it back on before leaving at the end of your stay. Thank you!
