Located in the historic district of Milton, the house sleeps 14 and has a modern kitchen, a great room with a wood-burning fireplace, a private office, a finished basement-entertainment center, and a fully-equipped gym. French doors open out onto a private patio as well as a 50 foot heated, fenced in salt water pool. The house is surrounded by unspoiled natural woodlands, bordered by the trout-filled East Branch of the Shepaug River perfect for fishing. With year round entertainment, it's within a 10 minute drive of the historic Litchfield Green, 10 minutes from Mohawk Mountain ski area, 15 minutes from the endless hiking, biking, and kayaking options of the White Memorial Conservation Center or the serenity of the Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy, 20 minutes from the stylish shops of New Preston, 30 minutes to the famous Elephant Trunk flea market, and 45 minutes to world-class Norfolk Chamber music festival. Children will love the many farms in the area, including world famous Thorncrest and its high end chocolates and Arethusa Dairy farm and its fresh made, local ice cream.
