Summary: This was my first VRBO booking and I will never be using VRBO again. There was supposedly a "glitch" in the VRBO system where my check in showed 3pm and the host's dashboard claims to show 4pm. The host was unresponsive and did not provide check in details then when they did respond instead of being accommodating or flexible they would not let us in until the cleaning crew was done.. however we were there on time (3pm) and no cleaning crew was even there so we were stranded outside of the property for almost an hour. When I asked to be let in they responded with "as soon as they finish I will send you the checkin info" not only that the host tried to accuse me of altering the screenshot of my view of the listing showing that check in was 3PM and then gave us unnecessary information about the guest sharing the property attached to ours that they owned and the information made me extremely uncomfortable and was assuming that we would be disruptive guests. aside from the rude, unhelpful, non flexible communication and interactions I had with the host we got there and there were no spare sheets or blankets for the pull out beds. This property would not comfortably sleep as many as listed. However, I was too scared to even reach back out to the host given my previous interaction so we just had to make it work. Additionally it wasn't cleaned well (lipstick on glasses, old decor left out from previous guest, sticky floors).
