There are over 300 acres of public land adjacent to the property with trails for walking/hiking . Like to four wheel? You can connect to the trail system without needing to trailer them. Canoe, Kayak, 2 person paddle boat and a 5 person paddle boat available for use (with 19 various sizes of life jackets) there is dock space for your own boat. No close neighbors. Fully stocked convenience store and the funnest bar in the area is just 1 mile away. Hayward is less than 30 minutes away to the south and has many tourist shops to browse through as well as mini golf and other entertainments.
About the cabin:
A north woods decorated log home, three bedrooms with queen beds and a half loft up stairs with one double bed and three twin beds, perfect for the younger folks in your group. In the cooler months primary heat is the central fireplace and a high efficiency wood stove in the back hallway. There are also electric baseboards in the bedrooms and a small furnace in the living room. In the summer there are two window air conditioning units to keep the cabin cool. The kitchen is stocked with utensils, silverware, dishes and pots and pans and has a double convection oven, microwave, full size fridge with ice maker and dishwasher. Fresh bed linens and towels are provided and there is a washer and dryer for your use. There is a phone for local calls and a calling card (supplied by you) can be used for long distance. There is internet and WiFi but no cable TV. There is a 40" LCD TV with a Blu ray DVD Home Entertainment Center that is internet enabled with Pandora and Netflix. In the loft is a second TV with a Wii and various games including the complete Rock Star setup and Wii Fit. There is an outside bar with a refrigerator with a tap for a ball type connection. Kegs can be ordered from the local bar for your stay.
There is a public boat landing on Middle Eau Claire Lake and a channel to the small lake where the cabin is located, so you can dock a boat.
There is a hand lock where you could take a canoe or smaller boat to the lower Eau Claire lake.
Check out time is at 12:00pm. Check in time is at 5:00pm. If there are not back to back bookings then we can be flexible within reason with the check out and check in times. This request has to be approved by owners in advance thank you.
