There's nothing quite like being Up North. Our clean, newly remodeled vacation home overlooks Big Lake Chetac, north of Birchwood. Relax and enjoy lake views, the surrounding natural beauty of the forests, and our abundant wildlife (deer, otter, fox, wild turkeys, eagles, turtles and black bear - to name a few). Big Lake Chetac and Birch Lake (connected by a channel) are known for Walleye, Northern, Bass and panfish. Hundreds of miles of ATV and hiking trails can be accessed nearby and there's always a boutique, craft or antique shop to poke through or a festival to attend.
Our home has lake views from every room except the bathrooms! The big kitchen is fully equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, gas range/oven, microwave, dishes and silverware, pots/pans, baking dishes, etc. There's a blender, a coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, and large roasting pans.
The home is large - about 2,000 square feet - but has a cozy, woodsy feeling. The kitchen/dining area, living room, 3 bedrooms and one bath are on the main level. The upstairs bath has been remodeled with knotty pine walls and a beautiful tiled shower. There are sliding glass doors in the living room that open to the new deck (built 2018) and a wonderful view.
Downstairs you'll find a big, totally remodeled, light and bright family room with plenty of space for gathering, playing games, watching TV and enjoying lake views. The second bath is on this level - it is brand new. Both couches are pull-out beds. Also on this level... a playroom with a ping-pong table, puzzles, games and books for all ages.
Sliding doors lead to the patio, and then it's just a few steps down to the lawn area and the dock. Bring your own boat (plenty of room for trailer parking), or fishing boats and pontoons are available for rent from nearby resorts. There's a fire pit and wood so you can enjoy a campfire by the lake.
Separate fish cleaning house complete with sink, counter/cleaning area and freezer. Propane heater in winter months.
Lake access in Winter - UTVs and snowmobiles can ride directly out onto the ice.
For our youngest guests we provide a high chair, a pack-n-play, and a baby gate.
