Summary: Large convention-style hotel, but fairly quiet in terms of hotel and outside noise (see fan noise comment following). Room was very clean but spartan. Only one comfortable chair. Loud A/C fan which we weren't able to turn off. A/C controls were nonobvious. Hotel sent up housekeeping staff quickly when requested who did turn off A/C fan. Hotel has automatic shade system but like A/C no explanation on use (ultimately I was able to use and it worked well). Front desk and other staff very friendly. Restaurant was very busy. Food seemed above average for hotel of this type. On arrival and for at least several hours, sign-in to Wi-Fi was not working (Note: Hotel provided 4000 "points" for Wi-Fi and A/C fan inconvenience.) Starbucks in lobby. In summary, hotel is clean, friendly and fine for a short stay in Richmond.
