If you’re looking for peace and quiet, look no further! You won’t be disappointed while staying in this secluded, off-grid cabin nestled amongst the trees. This cabin is a one room studio with an open floor plan, boasting a newly remodeled, fully equipped kitchen, queen bed, two twin beds, and a futon for additional sleeping. It also has a large, level backyard, perfect for pitching tents or bringing in a camper for additional guests. The cabin is completely off-grid, offering gravity fed water with on-demand hot water heaters, a newly remodeled primitive bath house with a composting toilet and outdoor shower. The cabin is powered by solar and a very quiet generator. Relax in the morning with a cup of coffee on the covered back porch, or spend your evenings seated around the fire pit with friends and family!
The cabin is located directly on the New York State Otter Creek Horse Trails which offers miles and miles of beautiful trails not only used by horseback riders but hikers and bikers as well. These trails are situated throughout the Adirondacks, following streams, lakes, ponds and beautiful views. There are streams stocked with trout nearby, offering great fishing opportunities, as well as several lakes and ponds for kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, etc. Less than a mile down the road is my absolute favorite part of the area known as Eatonville Falls, frequented by locals and tourists alike for the best swimming hole, rock sliding and tubing in the area! There is also a parking area for trucks and trailers less than a mile from the cabin, so bring your ATVs, UTVs, etc and have direct access to the Lewis County ATV trail system that leads you further into the Adirondacks, or all the way up to the Tug Hill Plateau, one of the most popular trail systems in the state!
The cabin may feel like forever away from civilization, but a short 10 minute drive into Brantingham provides you with some of the best restaurants and watering holes in the area. Lowville is a short 20 minute drive for shopping, attractions, and wineries. Old Forge, in the heart of the Adirondacks is a 45 minute drive and offers Enchanted Forest Water Safari, along with numerous outdoor activities!
The cabin is a constant work in progress, with many updates being added regularly. There will be a well drilled along with an indoor bathroom, and covered stalls for horses as well. Completion of these projects should be Fall of 2024.

The cabin is located on a seasonal road that doubles as a snowmobile trail in the winter, so it is being offered as a seasonal retreat only for the time being. Four wheel drive is not required, although you will be traveling about 3 miles on a dirt/gravel road.
