Our home is perfect for your next group adventure, or family get away! Offering a cozy living room with brand new furniture to seat 12 comfortably, a 55" flat screen smart TV above the electric fireplace is the center of the home.
Our full kitchen is a dream to work in! We even have a small pantry in addition to lots of cabinet space. Our appliances are made for big groups too! - From the dishwasher featuring a third rack, french door refrigerator with our freezer at the bottom, a large table that seats six, but we offer extra chairs to seat more! We also have a commercial sized washer and dryer to save time!
Rosewood Retreat features 6 bedrooms with double/queen beds in each room. We offer extra bedding for guests to use as needed during their stay and each has its own matress protector as well for extra cleanliness.
Our home also has a very unique feature that will be a God send for some - we are fully accessible. Our home is one story, featuring ramps in place of stairs inside and out. Our bathrooms are very accommodating as well and feature grab bars in each!
Outdoors you will find an extra long driveway to park vehicles, trailers for snowmobiles, boats, or side by sides!
In our back yard you will find it easy to relax with the large shade trees, fire ring, and privacy! We have apple trees in the front and back yard that attract deer and other (friendly) wildlife! It is a quiet and shaded space, but begs for a fun game of yardzee or boccie ball!
Off of the front of our home you will find a large deck with seating for everyone! We have large built in benches and a charcoal grill - perfect for grilling out!
Our space is great and has something for everyone, but the location is better! If you are looking to be located near many U.P. attractions, you found it! For convience and low key days, we are 5 minutes from downtown Rapid River for a quick bite to eat at the Rapid River Pub, Swallow Inn, or delicious ice cream at the Dairy Flo. There is also a full service gastaion and local Dollar General to pick up supplies! The Stonington Point Lighthouse is a beautiful place and offers fantastic views of the water!
Now to the fun stuff! We are minutes from the Hiawatha National Forest. We are minutes from great riding trails for side by sides and snowmobiling too! The Dutch Mill trail head is 5 minutes from our house. If you are looking for watersports or swimming we are a 10-15 minute drive to a beautiful beach on Lake Michigan in Gladstone. Lifeguards are on duty each summer during city specified hours. It is a wonderful beach to bring the whole family, but specifiacally kids of any age. Calm shallow area for little ones, a slide for bigger kids and some years they have a platform to jump off for older kids. Fun for all!!!
If you brought your boat and can not wait to drop your line we are 10 minutes to amazing fishing in Kipling (ice fishing too!) The boat launch is marked clearly on the highway leading to Kipling. There are many other boat launches near by, including Garden, MI is known for great fishing.
We are within an hours drive to major U.P. destinations such as Marquette, Munising, and Au Train. There are so many things to do from fantastic boat tours, Pictured Rocks, kayak rentals, floating down the Au Train river, hiking, waterfall tours, the list is amazing and goes on and on.
Escanaba is only 20 minutes away and boasts shopping, local beaches, great food, and of course, the UP State Fair! Just 20 minutes from Escanaba you will find the Island Resort and Casino featuring tons of fun entertainment, food, and Sweet grass golf course!
We can not forget the many music festivals and local fun each town has to offer during the summer months
