The Elk Inn on Lower Clam Lake was once part of the historic Pinehurst Resort on Lower Clam Lake near Clam Lake, Wisconsin. Now privately owned, the cabin has been transformed into a modern, getaway located in the the Chequamegon National Forest. Lower Clam Lake is a 230 acre lake with a maximum depth of 20-30 feet and has a public boat landing. Fish in the lake include musky, pan fish, bass, and walleye.
This newly remodeled cabin offers a fully stocked kitchen with both a regular drip and keurig coffee maker, bedrooms have new mattresses and pillows.
There are 2 bedrooms; one with a queen bed, a second bedroom offers a twin over twin bunk bed. A separate loft area offers a full bed and a twin bed.
Guests have access to a private fire pit, and a private pier that is just a short walk down the walking path to Lower Clam Lake.
A public boat landing is just minutes away and guests bringing their own boat are welcome to dock at the pier.
After a long day at the lake, guests can return to the cabin for a cookout on the gas or charcoal grill.( note, guests need to bring their own charcoal).
Bring your snowmobiles or ATVs; Clam Lake is well known for great trails year round!
Guests bringing their ATVs will need to trailer a short 2 miles for trailhead parking.
Snowmobiles can access the snowmobile trail by crossing Upper Clam Lake.
