The Hideaway is nestled 90 minutes northeast of the Twin Cities on Clam Lake near Siren, WI. Relax with the whole family at this lakeside cabin. THE SPACE
The Hideaway is a brand new (2022) a-frame cabin located lakefront on Clam Lake. It was built to create memories for our family, we can't express how much it means to share this special space of ours with you!
GUEST ACCESS
Guests have access to the a-frame, all of the outdoor space and a storage shed for trash receptacles, yard games, fishing rods, brooms, and shovels.
THINGS TO NOTE
If you're looking for activities off-site, there are plenty in the area! Check out our Guidebook (under "Location" click "More about the location" then click "Show host guidebook") for local recommendations. Siren has a lot to offer for shopping, it also has many restaurants, bars, park areas, a golf course, a miniature golf course, a movie theater, and the famous Gandy Dancer trail where you can walk, bike, cross-country ski, snowshoe or drive your ATV and snowmobile.
The wifi speed has been more than adequate for remote work, general internet browsing, and app streaming.
The roads are maintained by the county year-round and the driveway is cleared by private hire when 3-5 inches of snow accumulates. We cannot guarantee the conditions when snowfall occurs, or when they will be cleared.
The three bedrooms offer enough space for 6 people to sleep comfortably. The main bedroom is located on the first level (king bed) along with a full bathroom, the kitchen, the dining room, and the living room. The other two bedrooms are upstairs and the half bath is there as well. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a king bed and the other has two trundle beds that can sleep as many as four people.
There is a smart TV in the living room and another in the main bedroom downstairs where you can connect to your favorite streaming service. There is a large "L" shaped sofa where guests can sit comfortably and drink their coffee while enjoying views of the lake.
The dining room has a table that can seat as many as 8 people when fully extended.
Clam Lake is over 400 acres at a maximum depth of 11'. There is a boat landing less than a mile away from the property, should you decide to bring your personal watercraft or rent one.
This four-season cabin is equally enjoyable in the fall and winter. You can enjoy hiking, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling right off the backyard onto the lake and the many trails that follow.
Firewood for the outdoor firepit is provided.
The kitchen has everything you will need to cook your meals.
Towels, soap, shampoo, and toilet paper are provided.
A baby gate and a pack-n-play are available for guests with younger kids.
All you need is your luggage to be ready to enjoy your time at The Hideaway.
