THE SPACE:
Enjoy an old fashion lakeside experience in our Lodge home, Colonial Pines. The Lodge suite has two bedrooms that can accommodate up to four adult guests. The rooms are separated by a private attached bathroom with claw foot tub shower, and a private attached screened porch with hammock chairs overlooking beautiful Lake Winnipesaukee. One bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has a full size bed and window seats which look out over Center Harbor Bay. We have additional guests rooms available for larger groups. Please inquire for more information.
The Lodge is our home and we share all the common areas with our guests.
Please note the Lodge Suite is for adults only.
Suite is located on the second floor. Bathroom is located on the second floor.
There are NO kitchen privileges but for our guests we have a small refrigerator, microwave and electric kettle for boiling water, located on the porch. We have tea with fixings available.
We do not provide food or meals. Lodge suite is best suited for two to three night visits. We generally do not get weekly reservations as there are no cooking facilities. For longer stays or if you're coming with children please consider one of our five cottages which are also listed on HomeAway and VRBO.
Massive brick fireplace in Lodge with wood stove. This is the source of heat for the living room, Lodge bedrooms and bathroom. Please note the bedrooms and bathroom do not have their own heat source.
Five cottages share the property.
A westerly exposure means sun in our swimming area most of the day and beautiful sunsets.
Boat slips available if you bring your own boat. Additional cost for boat slips. Please inquire.
Plenty of parking.

There are many islands to explore by water. The harbor is protected on three sides which makes it ideal for canoeing and kayaking.
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
The Lodge is our home so we are available to check in guests. We are also accessible to our guests if they need anything or have questions.
We share all the common space with our guests and let our guests decide how much interaction there is.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
We are within walking distance to the quaint town of Center Harbor. There are wonderful little shops in town including Keepsake Quilting, Yikes Gallery, a bookstore, a grocery store, ice cream stands, bagel shop, restaurants for every budget and a gazebo for band concerts on Friday evenings during the summer months.
Hiking, antiquing, golfing, outlet shopping are just a few of the many activities within easy driving distance.
Close to the White Mountains and Gunstock Ski area where you can enjoy many outdoor activities. There are lots of hiking trails for all abilities within a short drive.
GETTING AROUND
Some guests bring bicycles.
A great family tradition is walking to town for ice cream on a hot summer night.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Two night minimum - 3 night minimum on holiday weekends.
A deep well on the property assures great drinking water.
We do not provide beach towels. Please do not use bath towels at the waterfront.
Close to all area attractions - Cruise Lake Winni on the MS Mount Washington (it departs from Center Harbor on Monday's), take in a concert at Meadowbrook, hike in the White Mtns, tour Castle in the Clouds, shop at the Outlet stores in North Conway, go zip lining in Lincoln, ride the Cog Railroad up Mount Washington. Just to name a few of the many things to see and do in our beautiful area!
HOUSE RULES
Pets are not allowed and Colonial Pines is a non-smoking environment.
Adults only in the Lodge.
Please note: Check in after 3:00PM - Check out by 10:00AM.
Due to our cleaning schedule early check in and late check out is not permitted.
Quiet time is from 10:30 PM until 8:00 AM.
The Lodge has beautiful wood floors, doors and woodwork. PLEASE DO NOT HANG ANYTHING WET OR DAMP IN THE BEDROOMS. Please use the clothesline located beside the Lodge for wet bathing suits and beach towels. Bath towels can be hung on the towel bars in the bathroom or on the folding rack provided.
Please do not use the bath towels at the waterfront.
If your shoes are wet or dirty please remove to protect the wood floors. Shoes may be left on the porch.
Please no food or drinks in the bedrooms (water excepted).
Guests will arrive to a clean space; however we do not offer housekeeping services during your visit. Wastebaskets will be emptied daily.
Please let us know if you need clean towels at any time during your stay.
It's appreciated if you leave the room and bathroom as you found it.
We are not responsible for personal items left in the room.
Please do not feed the ducks, squirrels, or chipmunks - as cute as they may be!
