Hang & relax on the large wraparound porch at this unique and tranquil getaway. Built in 1850, the Broadview Farmhouse sits on 8 acres, and is the perfect escape from city life.
Sleeps 8, 4 bedrooms with 5 beds, 1.5 bathrooms. Open floor plan, two living rooms, a dining room, and large kitchen. Walking distance to the Zoom Flume water park. Mountains views. Grill and fire pit.
(The Broadview is our home when guests are not using it. It's an old gem that requires gentle TLC. Nearly everything in the house is brand new, purchased between February-May 2022.)

If it's outdoor space you're seeking, you'll find it at The Broadview. 2 hours, 15 minutes north of midtown Manhattan, you'll be greeted by views of the mountains when you approach the 450' long U-shaped gravel driveway.
At 1,000 feet above sea level, the 172 year-old house sits on 8 park-like aces. A massive 103' long non-operational chicken coop sits behind the house and a horse stable/barn is at the bottom of the tree-lined hill halfway down the property. The rear 4 acres beyond the stable/barn are wooded.
The Broadview is the perfect escape to enjoy your morning coffee, afternoon tea, happy hour cocktails, and meals on the covered wraparound porch while listening to the sounds of mother nature. Nap outdoors in the hammock or on one of the chaise lounges. Walk to the Zoom Flume water park or relax indoors where the temperature on the first floor is consistently cool due to the porch overhang. At night, sit by the outdoor fire pit while gazing up at the stars.
Local restaurants are just a few minutes away.

-Encountering wildlife/bugs/insects while OUTDOORS is part of the rural/country experience. Guests should be comfortable with nature.
-You may hear roosters, woodpeckers, crickets, birds, and owls that could interrupt your sleep if you're a light sleeper.
-Air conditioning is only available in the bedrooms from May-September. The first floor of the home stays consistently cool, so A/C is never needed.

Guests have access to areas listed, except the basement and attic. (Guests may have access to the washer/dryer in the basement if staying longer than 7 nights.) Guests may not enter the stable/barn and chicken coop.

Feel free to help yourself to anything in the pantry, fridge, freezer. Because we use the house when it's not rented, we usually leave non-perishable food, unexpired condiments, and unopened beverages for guests' consumption.
