This home features a full outdoor kitchen, open air yoga/meditation shed overlooking the mountains, 2 outdoor dining areas, two separate living rooms, four bedrooms, kitchen, coffee pantry, high speed wifi, office workspace, comfortable beds, and all the charm of a traditional Vermont home a short 10-15 min. drive from Jay Peak.

The Space-
The Hill Farm has been in the family for 4 generations. We are so excited to share the home we’ve created with others!
Layout-
Enter into the "mudroom” where you’ll have plenty of space to for your outdoor gear and shoes. There is a washer and dryer in this entry space. From this entryway you can step onto the back porch and outdoor kitchen where the views of Jay Peak and Hazen's Notch are stunning.
The outdoor kitchen is equipped with a grill, sink, dining table, outdoor dish set and utensils, and seating area for relaxing and taking in the stunning views. The morning sun pours into this space so you can enjoy your morning coffee and breakfast while catching the songs of the Red Wing Blackbirds and swallows that spend their time in the apple trees and meadow. By afternoon the sun is setting and lights up the mountains beautifully while you enjoy dinner and drinks.
From the back porch you can see the “sheep shed.” We converted out Icelandic Sheep’s shed into a yoga/meditation space.
Back inside-The Kitchen has a unique layout as it was originally 2 smalls rooms as is common of traditional Vermont homes. There is a fully equipped kitchen
with all necessary cooking utensils. Off from the kitchen is a pantry with a second sink, dry food storage, microwave, tea kettle and coffee maker. This is a lovely spot to make your morning coffee as the sunlight pours in over the 100 year old apple tree and beautiful mountains.
The living room has plenty of space to stretch out and relax at the end of the day. There is a Smart TV, comfy seating and a book shelf with interesting reads and family games. There is a yoga swing that can easily be hung up in the center of the room. While the yoga swing is for adults to invert and stretch, we've found it is the most amazing toy for kids to play or cozy up while watching a movie.
Off from the living room is a year round living space with a door to close when you'd like peace and quiet- the Sunroom. This is a lovely space for sitting with a cup of tea and soaking in the 180 degree Mountain View’s.
Off from the living room is another porch. This porch has another small dining space. We find this to be a good place to enter after a long day of exploring swimming holes. There is a drying rack for wet towels and swim suits. We also keep our "sport cabinet" out here. We provide a Corn hole yard game, tennis rackets, swim noodles, swim towels, hula hoops and water shoes for exploring the rivers.
The bathroom is has towels, wash clothes, a hairdryer, and some medicine cabinet staples.
Upstairs-
Bedroom one - One very comfortable queen bed with room darkening curtains and an air conditioner.
Bedroom 2- One Queen bed with room darkening blinds and a closet.
Bedroom 3- Two twin bed and room darkening curtains.
Room 4- dedicated office space/quest room. There is a fold out futon with bedding.
Outside-
Enjoy walking the land in summer or winter. In the summer and fall, you'll find some fruit and lots of wild flower and perennials. We grow blueberries, strawberries, pears, apples and plums.
The Yoga Shed is available Spring-Fall. Enjoy the mountain views while you have a stretch, a nap, a drink or meditation.
There is a fire-pit for your enjoyment and outdoor chairs and (limited) firewood are provided.
This is a most unique stay for our area because it is a genuine Vermont farmhouse. We have worked hard to ensure our guests will be comfortable and feel at home in our mountain view Farmhouse on the hill.
Other things to note- Our location is one of the only places in Montgomery with Cell service. We have EXCELLENT wifi internet.
The home has been prepared especially for our airbnb guests. This is an old house with character and quirks, but the space is clean, well cared for and comfortable.
*For the safety and comfort of our guests and cleaning staff we have blocked off a minimum of 1 day in between guest bookings.
*Roku TV with Prime or use your own accounts.
*Outdoor fire pit
*We care a lot about the environment and personal health and indoor air quality. Our home has lots of plants, we use natural cleaning products and toiletries and there are fans available for while noise.
*Great for families but the house is not toddler proof due to the heat register grates, cactus plant, and stairs.
