This stunning 1921 home was just renovated to add all new modern amenities but yet retain old world charm is centrally and privately located. Paignton, is the name of this enchanting 100+ year old home that is filled with original art work, plenty of comfortable seating areas, oriental rugs and an incredible location. Paington contains original glass door and other interior details that have been thoughtfully updated with graceful decor, original art work, leather seating area, oriental rugs and a fully stocked kitchen with its own entrance.
Start by sitting outside on the huge front porch or stroll over the bridge and water feature to the gazebo. All set on 2 lush acres that is professionally maintained. Other comfortable seating areas await you inside. Large living room has a flat screen TV (Direct TV) with leather couches and table areas. The fireplace is nonfunctioning but serves as a candle cubby. All the bathrooms have been fully renovated as well as a new heating and cooling system to keep you comfortable no matter the season.
Easy generously sized bedrooms are beautifully appointed seating area and closet space. The upper cozy sitting room/library room is located just outside the bedrooms. It is stocked with games, books and puzzles. The King master suite has its own private bath with large walk in shower with natural lighting. The other Queen and 2 Twin rooms share a new bathroom w/ double sink and large walk in shower.
Fully equipped kitchen with bran new fridge is fully stocked and adjoins a walk in pantry as well as a delightful butlers pantry as a passthrough to the dining room. Linens, towels, paper towels, napkins, toilet paper and coffee are all provided so you can just relax!
But as charming as Paington is, there are countless adventures awaiting you just minutes away from many area attractions in Harpers Ferry, Charles Town, Shepherdstown, and Loudoun County VA. Outdoor activities include white water rafting, tubing, zip lining and hiking in Harpers Ferry and the Appalachian Trail. Hollywood Casino and Racetrack is just down the street within minutes and attracts some of the biggest live music, stage shows and comedians to its events center. Many local areas to wander on quaint historic streets or dine at the many great restaurants, wineries, breweries and distilleries are all within an easy drive. Grocery store and convenience stores are all super close by.
