Summary: The location was amazing! You just can't beat those Lake Erie sunrises with a cup of good coffee. The sunsets with a glass of wine are pretty wonderful too! The location is exactly as pictured.The cabin is somewhat rustic and the bedrooms don't have a lot of privacy, but the beds were clean and comfortable and one bedroom has that amazing view. We slept with the windows open all evening and got a fantastic breeze. The neighbors are nice and quiet. Even though we went to bed pretty early and had our windows open they didn't bother us at all.The bathrooms are downstairs and it is a log cabin so the stairs are a little rustic too. My 6'3" husband had to duck down in a couple of places to come down the stairs and go into the bathroom. Also the shower was great for me, but a little low for him. He was still able to use it.Luna Pier, at least when we went after Labor Day, is a little sleepy town. We found it very charming and friendly. The pier is nice and the beach was good too. We enjoyed eating at Gander's Restaurant (Ma & Pa) and Chateau Louise (decent steak and a little live music). We played golf at Monroe Country Club and went to the River Raisin historical center in Monroe. It was really interesting with information from the war of 1812. We also went to Sterling State Park and walked their beach and walked their trails. We had a wonderful time! Monroe is about ten miles away and so is Toledo, if you want a casino, etc.
