Listen to the seals play and watch them as they bask in the sun at low tide (did you know the seals snort?) Explore the tide pools, where muscles, lobster, starfish, and crabs like to lounge. Rock in the hammock, let the day pass by with a good book and feel the ocean breeze. Fire orange sunsets, with campfires, lobster bakes, and toasted marshmallows to follow, are the perfect way to end a summer day at this adventurous cottage. Down by the shore is the ideal spot to launch a kayak- paddle out and explore the islands and the shoreline of the Bagaduce River. Take a trip upstream to the reversing falls and eat at the Bagaduce Lunch. Paddle to the historic waterfront of Castine.
Our cabin was built in 2013 for comfort and family relaxation. We have named it “The Captain's Cottage” in honor of our son, who attended the Maine Maritime Academy.
