Welcome to The Happy Place. Over the past 13 years our family has created many memories and truly is our happy place. Over an acre to enjoy with creek running through the backyard. Large fenced area for the pups to run.
The space
We are proud to offer our newly renovated home to guest to create the same memories and experiences as our family! The Happy Place is a 3 bed/2bath home that has been completely renovated with comfort and function in mind.
The primary bedroom is spacious with a large walk-in closet & king size bed. The primary bathroom features heated floors, beautiful designed walk-in shower with niche lighting and a large free standing soaking tub.
There are two additional bedrooms. The western room & moose room each feature queen size beds, closet and Roku TV’s.
The main family room is perfect for lounging, watching movies, or catching up on your favorite Netflix series. The secondary TV room is a multi-purpose flex space. Electric fireplace, couch with two end recliners, built in cabinets with many card and board games to choose from.
The kitchen is spacious with new appliances and has everything you’ll need to make your family meals.
The laundry room also features our pup station. We love our pets and travel with our two dogs and understand how important our guest pets are! We have a small kennel (large kennel upon request), toys, treats and waste bags. We want your pups to feel welcomed too.
The property is situated on an acre lot with a peaceful creek at the lower portion of the property and is surrounded with trees that span 100 years old. The front yard is fenced and secured for your pets with plenty of space to run and enjoy their pup-cation. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the front patio with stunning mountain views. The extended back patio was designed with our guest in mind. This is the perfect place for entertaining, family dinners or simply to relax and experience Arizona’s natural beauty. We also have an outdoor fire pit for camp fires & roasting S’mores. (Season permitting) The property is equipped to park your rides. There are near by trails that you’ll be able to access with a quick ride up the rim.
If you plan on bringing ATV or Side by sides please let us know. We are happy to point you in the direction of trails but it is extremely important to respect the neighbors. We would ask rides are only driven to and from the property not driven around the property. We are happy to provide more detailed information.

There MAY be a FIRE BAN in place when you are interested in coming. Please check the Tonto Forest web site for alert ban status.
I will have a sign on the fire pit if I know there is a ban in place. But, it changes often, according to the weather, etc. I do not control the state fire ban laws. Safety is important!
This is a rural location - sounds you may hear could be horses, coyotes, dogs, cows, chickens and roosters along with farm equipment.
DOGS and wild animals: This home is next to the forest and neighbors do not always keep their dogs fenced and they are allowed to run around the area. The pets are generally friendly and RARELY come by. However, you need to be aware that I can not control the wildlife or neighbor dogs. If you decide to bring your pet, the front yard is a large fenced area but I do not recommend you allowing your dog to run around freely.
Often there will be more horse traffic than car traffic. Do not approach horses or the area ranches. The road past Sprague Ranch road is a private road. More info will be provided after booking.
Open Range: The property is located in an open range area - this means certain times of the year livestock will pass through the property. Stay clear of any livestock.
To reach the Happy Place you will pass through the creek that runs through the property - it is usually shallow but during or after rain storms requires extreme caution.
