Summary: A last-minute cancellation at a different property left us in a pinch for Smith College’s parent’s weekend and we counted our lucky stars to find this well-appointed home. It was exactly what we needed for a three-day parents weekend stay. We loved the well-stocked kitchen, the Host’s thoughtful communications and local recommendations, the beautiful (and easy) 15-20 minute drive to Northampton/Smith, and comfortable beds. Unexpected bonus - the stunning views of sunrise over the lake and stars shining so brightly that we could see their reflection on the water! We had a fun campfire on our last night - another unexpected and fun part of a great weekend. One tip: If you rent this beautiful retreat and plan to arrive at night (which we did), know that it is a little hard to find in the dark. Our host had given us two GPS addresses to use; we found that the second one was easier for nighttime navigation. Once we found the house, we used a “dropped pin” on our Apple Maps to find it again. (It was much easier to find during the day). We hope to return again for future stays - definitely a fun wooded retreat!
